1. About The Hub
The Hub operates an online marketplace that connects clients ("Clients") with independent professionals ("Professionals") for intellectual services. The Hub is not a party to the service contract between a Client and a Professional, and does not employ Professionals.
2. Accounts and eligibility
- You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract.
- Professionals must complete identity verification before their profile is published.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your account and profile information.
3. AI features
The Hub uses AI to draft job briefs, suggest rate ranges and triage disputes. AI output is a draft for your review. Professionals set their own rates. Hiring decisions and dispute outcomes are made by people, not by AI.
4. Fees
Clients pay a buyer fee of 5% of each milestone amount when funding escrow. Professionals pay a seller fee of 8% of each milestone amount, deducted at release. Fees are inclusive of VAT where applicable and are displayed before any commitment.
5. Payments and escrow
Milestone funds are held by licensed third-party escrow and payment providers through connected accounts. The Hub never holds Client or Professional funds in its own accounts. Released funds are paid to the Professional's connected account. Refunds of unreleased funds follow the dispute process.
6. Change orders
Changes in scope must be agreed as priced change orders through the platform. Accepted change orders create new milestones subject to the same fees.
7. Disputes
Either party may open a dispute on an active contract. An AI-assisted triage summarises the case. Either party may appeal to a human case officer, whose decision on the release or refund of escrowed funds is final within the platform, without prejudice to statutory rights.
8. Prohibited conduct
- Taking payment for platform-introduced work outside The Hub within 24 months.
- Misrepresenting identity, qualifications or references.
- Unlawful, infringing or discriminatory services or content.
9. Intellectual property
Unless the contract states otherwise, rights in deliverables transfer to the Client upon release of the final milestone payment for those deliverables.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, The Hub's aggregate liability is limited to the fees it received in connection with the relevant contract in the 12 months before the claim.
11. Governing law
For UAE users these terms are governed by the laws of the Dubai International Financial Centre; for Saudi users, by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; for Egyptian users, by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Disputes are resolved by the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
